Vibrant Street Art in Glasgow

Massive murals, impressive arts, creating vibrant street art in hidden corners of Glasgow. All around the center, the City Council commissioned artists to upgrade abandoned walls in the city. The first appeared in 2008 and there are now 25 remarkable murals.

From the quirky to bizarre, radical to conservative, doing a self-guided tour is the best way to discover it. It is easily walkable you cross the city pavements and discover unusual places.

I thought I knew Glasgow after seven months. Anyway, I spent four hours doing the trail enjoying the view and the secret gems of Glasgow. It was sunny, absolutely stunning on this February month.

I cannot recommend one, in particular, just look as little as possible the murals before doing it. It will be surprising!

Dr. Connolly, I Presume
Billy Connolly murals installed by Rogue One. an unexpected mural hiding in a corner of the street close to St Enoch Square.

The Clutha hommage
The mural installed at the Clutha Bar in Glasgow done by the artists Rogue-One, Art Pistol, and Ejek.  The mural is an homage to a variety of personalities who frequented the place.
The Gallery
Probably my favorite, full of art references, little details, and impressive colors. You can saw interpretations by Smug (Sam Bates) of famous paintings from Van Gogh to the Mona Lisa.
Glasgow's Tiger
This Massive Mural facing the river was realized by Klingatron in collaboration with Art Pistol to re-imagine the original tiger design previously installed at this location.
The world's most economical taxi
Artwork by artist Rogue-One is a must-visit location, close to the Lighthouse, hide from Argyle street
